Three different Fraxel Technologies are available: Fraxel Repair, Fraxel Restore, Dual, and the Clear&Brilliant. The difference between them is with the depth of the treatment and the aggressivity. All of them function by creating multiple columns of laser that affect fractions of the treated areas. These columns will denature skin tissue or remove it, stimulating the regenerative activity of skin cells. The Q-switch technology allows the Revlite to successfully destroy melanin in the skin without damaging the skin itself because the Q-Switch allows the laser device to release a big amount of laser energy in the smallest fractions of a second. The destroyed melanin will be removed naturally by the skin, which will brighten the skin of the treated area, leaving it whiter and with fewer blemishes and spots.
Thermage uses radiofrequency technology (RF) to heat the deep collagen-rich layers of your skin. Collagen being a protein, will become denser when exposed to the right temperatures. The heat will then help remodel the existing collagen, making it more firm and tight, and also stimulate the skin cells to produce new collagen ( which improves the smoothness and texture of the skin’s surface). Thermador is used for the body and face, it is one of the most efficient tools to act against skin laxity. Your doctor will decide the necessary number of sessions for your case, typically 2 sessions are usually very satisfactory.
Ultherapy uses safe, time-tested focused ultrasound energy to lift and tighten naturally, without surgery or downtime. Ulthera focused the ultrasound waves into a very small point at a very specific depth within the skin. Like echography, the ultrasounds will cross the skin without causing any damage. The focus point will produce enough heat to create a small coagulation point on the muscle surface or the SMAS “Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System” which will induce the lifting of the muscle (exactly what is done in a surgical lifting procedure, only minus the surgery). ICOONE is the most advanced technology in gentle tissue manipulation. The microalveolar system of ICOONE allows for maximal massage of the skin’s fat cell while being as soft as manual lymphatic drainage on the skin’s surface. ICOONE allows a quick reduction of cellulite while manually sculpting the shapes of your curves. Multiple sessions are required for best results, typically 8-12 sessions twice or three times a week based on the starting condition of the body.
The CoolSculpting procedure safely delivers precisely controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin. Treated fat cells are crystallized. Over time, your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells over the few weeks following the session. Apogee is an Alexandrite Laser. Alexandrite is at 755nm, which means it is highly absorbed in the melanin and gives a dark color to the skin and hair. Because the hair grows in multiple phases, only the hairs in the Anagen phase will permanently disappear, the rest of the hair will need to be targeted again.
Soprano ICE is a high-frequency diode laser. It fires up to 10 Laser shots per second. This allows the power necessary for good results to be shot in 10 smaller portions, allowing the treatment to be safe and comfortable on the skin, especially on the darker skin tones. The diode has a high absorption rate in the melanin, making it very effective for hair removal while preventing any secondary effects.
Mediostar is a German diode laser. It allows for high-speed laser treatment, but also single-shot treatments when necessary and applicable. Diode lasers are used instead of Alexandrite lasers especially for darker skin tones, because of their higher safety on the melanin in the skin. The shorter pulse durations on Mediostar allow treating thinner hair on darker skins.
